Gregg Deal is the owner and lead designer of GSON Studios. He is an enrolled member of the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe in Nevada. Originally from Park City, UT where he competed on the pro-circuit in snowboarding, Gregg moved to the DC area in 1999 when he married his wife Megan. Gregg earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Painting from George Mason University. He worked for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian and was chosen to accompany American Indian performance artist James Luna to the Venice Biennale as part of a mentorship program sponsored by NMAI in conjunction with the Ford Foundation. His current passion is road biking, and he is looking to form a team in 2008. Gregg resides in Montclair with his wife and one-year-old daughter Sage.
Megan Deal is the Director of Marketing for GSON Studios. Originally from the DC area, Megan attended Brigham Young University and earned a degree in Marketing Communications in 1999. She moved back to the DC area when she married Gregg and started her career doing business development in the IT staffing arena focusing specifically on small to mid-sized government integrators. After over seven years of working, her first child Sage was born in June of 2006. She works part time on the marketing efforts for GSON and the rest of her day is spent chasing Sage. She currently resides in Montclair with her husband and daughter.
